Tell us a little bit about FLMH Consulting Research Pte. Ltd.

I started FLMH Consulting Research Pte. Ltd. in 2020 after leaving my former roles in Academia and Family Business. My present company is intentional about being relevant to the corporate sector and various business corporations by and large. One of the primary aims of my company is to assist others to apply and adopt strategies that expand upon evidenced-based approaches, founded on robust research frameworks, psychological theories, and concepts.

 

What is unique about your business?

My company provides careful attention to the principles of core business functions and competencies. Directed at business-to-business outreach psychological services, it seeks to provide applied and highly adaptable processes, strategies, and solutions for growth, guided by robust evidence-based frameworks.

 

As a professional, what are your top three priorities?

In my opinion, the company has to be highly (i) adaptable, (ii) relevant, and (iii) responsive. At present, I tend to focus on operations and psychological services that are viable, with elements of consistency and functionality. Simultaneously, encouraging room for creative and proactive business interactions – in order to accommodate for a repertoire of business requirements, following closely to an applied psychological, consultative, and collaborative arrangement.

 

How did you get your idea for the business?

My former roles in Education, Academia, and Family Business have provided me the opportunity to adopt and assess, various approaches and strategies that would yield relevant results, as well as consider programmes that needed to be refined for atypical scenarios. As such, the interest to accommodate and support an array of business functions became an important aspect of the current setup.

 

To what do you attribute your success?

The awareness, appreciation, and implementation of processes and systematic procedures, are vital to the overall life and health of the business. Adopting relevant and functional systematic approaches that complement the core business functions is often an essential step for business growth and empowerment.

 

How long have you been a Servcorp client, and what has impressed you the most about our service?

To be honest, Servcorp’s workplace solutions have been relevant to the different phases of my professional career. I recall that I first started with Servcorp two decades ago in the year 2001 when I had my first company that required Virtual Office services for a specified period. I would have to say that the professional image and ambiance that Servcorp presents do make an important impact, creating one of the key elements for why companies would choose Servcorp as their business partner.

 

What advice would you give to the next generation of leaders?

Hold on to important and sustainable values, such as those that form the basic essence of psychological, environmental, and social responsibilities. Therefore, it is important to be committed to the cause of a forward-looking sustainable development, and to have respect for diversity, whilst staying relevant and adaptable.

 

What’s an accomplishment that you are most proud of?

In hindsight, remarkable moments are often those that involve the team and projects that emphasize a strong and successful collaborative effort. These moments often yield significant and meaningful social impressions. Therefore, I would say that whenever there is an opportunity to create meaningful moments in the lives of others, these uplifting moments would be classified as noteworthy.

 

What is one way that operating business today is the same as 15 years ago, and one way it’s different?

I believe that if a business is able to thrive on authenticity and best practices, it will stand the test of time in some form or another. In our ever-changing landscape today, responding appropriately to the pressures and evolving challenges around us without being overwhelmed, would be an important added skill to have.
